| Jeff & Evan from the USA |

|
| Evan flew in and the next day was in
his paradise, shark alley! |
|
Evan spent the morning watching the awesome sharks
circle the boat. Unfortunately the swell was a little big and
a few people on board were a bit sea sick but Evan was in his
prime! |
|
| Jeff touched down from a long flight and came straight
to the Roundhouse Guesthouse. After having a late breakfast we headed
straight for Kleinbaai harbour where we were ferried to the Marine
Dynamics boat to enjoy the afternoon. When we arrived on the boat
most of the people got off as their stomachs were not up to another
couple of hours of rolling around on the boat. We enjoyed an excellent
afternoon with the sharks. |
|
| The next few days were spent
in shark alley with one of the days cancelled due to rough seas.
On the final day Jeff decided he wanted to see a little more of
the coastline but Evan was still in love with the sharks. Jeff and
I (Dave) drove up the coast to Oudtshoorn to see the Ostriches and
Cheetah park. To break up the drive we stopped at a bridge jumping
site. After allot of nervous twitching we decided to do a Bridge
swing. A bridge swing is basically attaching yourself to a rope
and swinging from one bridge under another... very nice! |

|
| We then headed on to
Oudtshoorn for some fun. After the long ride there (4 Hours).
We reached the Ostrich park where we found a much more dangerous
creature than the Great White Shark (well to us!). After being
introduced to the resident Ostriches we were told to climb onto
one and ride it... yes ride it! These birds can supposedly rip
your stomach out with their claw feet and when they don't like
you they will repeatedly jump on top of you with all 200kg of
their weight! After much persuasion we managed to wrestle our
way onto them and the rest is history! The falls were hard but
not as hard as our laughter!!! |
