Cape L'Agulhas - The Southern most tip of Africa claims yet another victim
| Cape L'Agulhas is the most southern tip of Africa and where the two oceans of the Atlantic and Indian meet. The area (as Gansbaai) is blessed with beautiful beaches and rocky coastline. On a good day it is hard to imagine how many ships come to their peril along this coastline as the waters are beautiful in colour complemented by gentle surf rolling in.
You will also be able to climb the Cape L'Agulhas lighthouse and look at the stunning views from this famous beacon of safety.
This area as well as nearby Struisbaai is very quaint and relaxing. It is still just a small fishing village with only small operations working unlike the large commercial fishing trawlers of Gansbaai.
This beautiful area of Cape L'Agulhas is a must to visit and is a good option to take when the oceans are rough but weather good and the shark operators are not going out to sea. |
