Astacus Suite
This suite is situated at the bottom of
the house with its own living room, bedroom and bathroom. The
bathroom is very spacious with a built-in shower and corner
bath. The living room boasts a small work desk with TV &
Stereo and a sliding door to allow for twin access into the
Suite. The bedroom is spacious and can be modified to accommodate
for two people sharing (twin) or a couple (King size bed).
Cetecea Suite
This suite is a mirror of
the Astacus Suite and also situated at the bottom of the house
again with its own living room, bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom
is spacious with a built-in shower and corner bath. The Living
room boasts a work desk with TV & Stereo and sliding door.
The bedroom is spacious and can be modified to accommodate for
two people sharing (twin) or a couple (King size bed).
Chordata Suite
This suite is situated in the rear section
of the building and is not round in shape like the others. It
boasts a large living area with a work desk TV & Stereo
and sliding door. The bedroom is a nice size which again can
accommodate for either a king size bed or twin beds with a lovely
on-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a built in shower &
bath (not corner bath) & like the others hand made rustic
bathroom fittings. This suite is the smallest of the 4 and is
a real bargain if you are looking for an economical option.
Pinnepedia Suite
This suite is situated in the rear section
of the building and is not round in shape like the others. It
boasts a very large living area with a 3/4 size fridge, TV &
Stereo and sliding door. The bedroom is large which can accommodate
for either a king size bed or twin beds with a lovely on-suite
bathroom. The bathroom has a built in shower & bath (not
corner bath) & like the others hand made rustic bathroom
fittings. This room also have a bunk bed in the living room
which makes it the only room flexible to accommodate for 4 people
if wished.

For those who wish for more
homely accommodation we have a cottage just opposite the guesthouse
which sleeps 4-6 people. The cottage offers extremely comfortable
self catering accommodation for families, groups and people
with pets. The cottage has two and a half bedrooms and can sleep
up to six people. There are two bedrooms which can be arranged
as king sized beds or twin and the half bedroom boasts a very
comfortable double sleeper couch. The cottage has a TV with
DSTV, Telephone, full kitchen, indoor and outdoor braai's and
2 bathrooms. This is the perfect accommodation option for families
or a group of friends visiting the area and visitors who want
to stay for long durations. We do have guests such as film crews
and photographers who perhaps prefer to stay in self catering
accommodation as it is more private and it seems more like a
home away from home rather than being a guest of a guesthouse
as nice as this is. As such people spend much of their time
traveling it is a refreshing break to stay in accommodation
that you can make your home for the duration of your stay. The
cottage as you can see does not have many steps so those who
are a little reserved about the thought of the stairs in the
main guesthouse may find the cottage the ideal choice for your
stay.

Gansbaai is a very popular place to visit over the festive season.
Hermanus is extremely busy and many people need more tranquil
surroundings at this time to forget about the busy city, cars
and people. Hermanus is only 25 minutes away accross the bay
so it is great to visit for the day but it is definatly worthwhile
staying in De Kelders if you want to relax and have a bit of
space over the festive season!
We want to offer guests
visiting Gansbaai a unique experience where you can live for your
duration's stay in complete comfort and privacy in your
accommodation if wished or mix with the other guests in the bar area
and entertainment deck. The Interior is based on a modern African
theme with carved stone statues and hand made fixings in all suites.
We really want you to be relaxed here and have an experience to
remember, we wish to learn from our guests and ultimately create an
unbeatable environment and atmosphere for everyone. Gansbaai and De
Kelders is very relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of
Hermanus so once you get here you can slow down and relax. For more

*Please note*
Due to the staircase and large
high balconies we do not take children in the guesthouse. If you are
not able or have difficulty walking up stairs then the Guesthouse
perhaps is not the place for you. The bar and entertainment area is
on the second floor and the Crows nest is 41 steps to the top of the
roof. But when at the top you will realise what it was all worth!
